Be the best you can

Helping clients deal with the challenges that can arise at any point in their careers

I am an Executive Coach with many years’ experience of professional and corporate life at all levels in the UK and worldwide

Richard Hilliard, Executive Coach

On a one-to-one basis I coach those who are facing changes and challenges in their working lives.

I am a Leadership Coach at the London Business School and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.

My clients hold senior positions in a wide range of settings, including major corporations, law and accountancy firms, the UK Parliament, US commerce, education, the entertainment industry and the not-for-profit sector.

They might be facing a change of role or responsibility, feel they are losing control or direction, have problems with working relationships, have personal difficulties impacting on their career, be worrying about the implications of retirement, or simply have “run out of steam”.

“My sessions with Richard have enabled me to organise my thoughts and feelings during a difficult period and make decisions about my future. His careful listening and challenging have been of the greatest possible help to me."

— Senior Manager, EY

My background

My career as a Lloyd’s broker spanned several decades and enabled me to live and work in London, Continental Europe, the United States and all over the world. Now I live in Wilton, the ancient capital town of Wiltshire, and my coaching practice reaches across the South of England.

I am a graduate of Oxford University, a Harmsworth Scholar of the Middle Temple, Founder and Director of the Relaxation for Living Institute 2008-11, co-author of the Stress Management Training Institute Teachers Manual and a graduate of the Meyler Campbell Business Coach Programme, accredited by the Association of Coaching.

I write articles for journals and magazines on the subject of dealing with stress-related anxiety, I deliver a lecture called Pressure Points at the London Business School and elsewhere and in 2018 I published privately an anthology entitled Plenty of Grapes.
